Garland Takes First Look In Pre-Season Matches
Broadbeach United commences its 2010 title defence when it plays three pre-season games in the coming week.
On Saturday 6 February, Broady will take on Grange Thistle at Broadbeach with games at 4pm and 6pm. The club premiers will then play a mid-week Game against Beenleigh at Broadbeach commencing 7:30pm on Wednesday 10 February. Finally, they cap off a big week with a trip north to play away to Capalaba on Saturday 13 February at 2pm, 4pm and 6pm.
This will be the first hit-out for newly appointed senior coach for 2010 and ex-New Zealand International Player, Keith Garland.
It will be a crucial look at the 2009 premiership side in full swing, allowing one of the most highly regarded coaches in south east Queensland the opportunity to put his technical coaching skills to the test.
Garland, who has had success with Broadbeach in 1999 and 2000, is back where he wants to be — with a club and team which he knows will surely win trophies again in the forthcoming season.
