Junior Sign-On 30-31 January

Sign for Junior teams will be held at the club between 9am and midday on 30 and 31 January. The club will be accepting player registrations for Under 6 through to Under 13 and we would also like to encourage parents to nominate for coaching and support positions.

Two of the Gold Coast United's A-League stars, Socceroo Jess Van Stratten and Brazilian ‘Robson’ will make an appearance at around 10:30am. It will be a chance for autographs and to meet two of the best footballers in Australia.

Junior Coaching Director Jay Cassidy will run a free coaching clinic from 10am to midday on Saturday for any junior club players and visitors who wish to join in — even if it's two minutes or two hours.

Fees are payable on the day by cash or cheque.

Socks, shorts, boots and shinpads will also be on sale while stocks last.

Junior teams play with modified rules, as follows:

Under 6 - Under 7

Teams of four-a-side (plus two reserves) play on a field 30×20m with a Size 3 ball. There are no throw-ins, goalkeepers, penalty area or offside rule and the game is in two 15-minute halves with a 5-minute half time break.

Under 8 - Under 9

Teams of seven-a-side (plus two reserves) play on a quarter-size field with a Size 3 ball. Goalkeepers and a penalty area are included, but no offside rule and the game is in two 20-minute halves with a 5-minute half time break.

Under 10

Teams of nine-a-side (plus two reserves) play on a half-size with a Size 4 ball. Goalkeepers and a penalty area are included, but no offside rule and the game is in two 25-minute halves with a 5-minute half time break.

Under 11 - Under 13

Teams of eleven-a-side (plus two reserves) play on a full-size field with a Size 5 ball. Full rules are played and the game is in two 30-minute halves with a 7.5-minute half time break.
